Pursuant to Standing Order 47(1), I wish to make a Statement on the transfer of functions from the Nairobi City County Government to the national Government. Yesterday, the national Government announced that an agreement had been reached between itself and the Nairobi City County on the transfer of certain functions from the Nairobi City County Government to the national Government, pursuant to Article 187 of the Constitution of Kenya.
