Temporary Deputy Speaker, based on the important role that the funds play towards national development, there is need for proper utilisation and accountability of public resources invested towards realisation of mandates of those institutions. It is on this basis that the Committee invited the accounting officers of the Funds to respond to the audit queries raised in the Report by the Auditor-General. During examination of the reports by the Auditor-General, the Committee came up with various recommendations arising from observations and findings made."
