Countries in Europe and the United States of America (USA) have grown because they preserve the history of their leaders and the true record of what happened. Lastly, I request Mzee Sen. Haji, Sen. Wako and all the other leaders who worked with the late President Moi to please favour us with their memoirs. Write something for us; stories and biographies about how it was like serving in the Government those days. This is because we were young and our children will never know who the late Presidents Jomo Kenyatta and Moi were. It will be through the stories and books by Sen. Orengo, Sen. Haji, Sen. Wako and Sen. (Eng.) Maina among others--- Sen. Khaniri you are still young; we will write with you later. You need to record your stories, so that our children and the children of our children will have an opportunity to read about the story of our country in the times of Jomo Kenyatta, Daniel arap Moi and others. Some of us will write in the times of President Uhuru Kenyatta. With those very many remarks, I beg to move and request the Senate Minority Leader, Sen. Orengo to second. He is a man who served with President Moi on one side, at some point on another side, and later on, the same side. Recently, I saw him visiting the former President and I am sure they were in good books before he rested."
