Members, as you are aware, Standing Order 42(2) states: “(2) If a message is received from the President at a time when the House is not in session, the Speaker shall forthwith cause the message to be transmitted to every Member and shall report the message to the House on the day the House next sits.” In this regard, on January 24, 2020, I did notify all Members of a Message from His Excellency the President which was received in my Office during the period of the long recess. The notification was in respect of the nomination of persons for appointment to the offices of Cabinet Secretaries and Principal Secretaries. As so notified, the nominees forwarded by His Excellency the President in exercise of powers conferred to him pursuant to the provisions of Articles 152(2) and 155(3)(a) of the Constitution are as follows:"
