    "content": " I rise to pay tribute to His Excellency Daniel Toroitich Arap Moi. Great men are always surrounded by great controversy yet we must never forget that Mzee Moi united our country Kenya when many African countries were steeped in coup d’états and rebellion. He transited this country through multiparty democracy securing his place in Kenyan history of leaving a united peaceful Kenya. He relegated power under the most difficult of circumstances at Uhuru Park. Needless to say, less than four years after that, this country was plunged into civil war. Mzee was a devoted Christian, a patriot and a dignified human being. I am certain that it is well with his soul."
