Speaker, as we condole with the family of the retired President Daniel Arap Moi, it is important to note that even though some of us did not entirely agree with his style of governance, we must appreciate the enormous contribution he made to the overall growth of the country. Perhaps, his style of governance was informed by the circumstances that prevailed then. I pray that his passing on may herald a new spirit of national unity and less squabbling by politicians, particularly those in the Jubilee Party."
