    "content": "I also urge the Minister for Public Health and Sanitation to bring to this House a proposal that we re-introduce DDT in Kenya. DDT was condemned by the World Health Organisation (WHO). I have documentation from the same WHO and I am sure the Minister has the same, saying that “maybe, we overdid it on DDT”. DDT was the most effective way of preventing malaria. In our younger days, we used to see many people with sprayers on their back once a month spraying the DDT. The only time that we see fogging machines in Kisumu is when the President is coming to Kisumu. It is as if other people from our community do not suffer from malaria."
