I join my colleagues in conveying my sincere condolences on my behalf, on behalf of my family and on behalf of the great people of Bomet East and Bomet County at large on the passing on of our second President Moi. He was a great leader. He empowered the girl-child. If you go to any constituency or any county, you will find a girls’ school named after Moi, for example, Moi Siongoroi Girls and many others. I thank him for empowering the girl- child. Secondly, he started the giant organisation of the Maendeleo ya Wanawake, which enabled the Kenyan women to go to Beijing in 1985."
