On my behalf, my family and the people of Thika and Kiambu, I wish to send my message of condolence to the family of President Daniel Toroitich arap Moi. There are two things about him that I will never forget. He was the most generous person. He gave us a bull when I was in Nyeri High School, which we ate for a week. Secondly, against all odds, he stepped out of a very powerful seat and retired honourably. Like any human being, he had his shortcomings. As a country, let us learn the lessons and move on."
