"content": "was to be brought in public limelight to take an active role, that would not be fair. He deserves a peaceful retirement and a good rest. So, we should not do things that will jeopardise the young who are the majority in the community. They should be taking the mantle from us and preparing to take care of us. At times, we lose it as a community. I come from a society where the old people are well taken care of, and placed in a certain category in society and respected. You will not find an old person who has no home. In my constituency, there are homes for the old people. But in the community I originate, you will not find a single person in those homes because the society has created a way to accommodate them. It is a blessing. I wish we could teach our children, so that tomorrow they do not necessarily abandon us in homes. These homes will then be places for those who do not have any other option and those without children. It is sad when we talk of people who have come to this town and forgotten about their parents back at home. I do support that we take care of our old people. I support that we give them the best atmosphere that we can. I also strongly feel that we should prepare our young people to take care of the old people in their homes. I should accommodate my mother and the old people whom I need to accommodate. We face a lot of challenges. We pray that this coronavirus epidemic and the locust invasion disappear. We should also think and prepare ourselves, because seemingly this looks like the end times. So, it is also good for us to prepare ourselves spiritually for what may eventually be coming. I now see the reality that possibly we could be headed to the end of the world. Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker."
