    "content": "I propose that we meet once a week with the responsible people in Government to tell us the status of the spread and the measures being taken to deal with it. We will also give them feedback as to the status of the safety of our constituents. It is important to ensure that we meet once a week so that we receive official information from the Government. It is sad that the Government is addressing us through the press that in its usual distortion shares with us such information. I am not comfortable citing to my people information in the daily newspapers. I will be happy to receive official communication from the Government which I can share with my constituents and advise them appropriately. This does not mean that the pandemic is not real. We are leaders. So, we must deal with the pandemic by leading from the front. We must protect and defend ourselves. The two weeks’ adjournment will enable our officers and responsible person to procure protection mechanism for us. We must lead our people and give them comfort. Having said that, I beg to move this amendment and hope that it will gain traction and support."
