Speaker, with reports that COVID-19 is being spread by infected persons who have no symptoms, it is clear that wearing a mask is crucial in protecting oneself from the virus that has infected over 1.7 million people worldwide and killed more than 100,000 in over 253 countries. So far in Kenya, a total of 208 people have been infected and nine killed by the virus. However, there have been concerns particularly from the medical professionals on the use of the N95 masks, which they say should be saved for the frontline health professionals as they are in short supply and are needed by first responders and health professionals."
