    "content": "Hon. Speaker, there is no death that is less painful. We are protecting our people from dying from Coronavirus, but it will be absurd if we push them to die from hunger. Kenyans are very responsible people. They are very compliant and they have obeyed everything they have been told by the Government. People have stopped working. Those who were in the transport industry are at home. Those who are running bars are at home. People who were earning a living have no money, they do not have a shilling. We want the Chairperson of the Fund together with the CS responsible to appear every day alongside CS Mutahi Kagwe. When he finishes explaining about coronavirus and the measures that have been taken on that front, they should go to the most urgent item of how our people will be fed, how they will be given soap and how they are going to be assisted to get through. Hon. Speaker, you have noted masks have been made compulsory; mandatory. In fact, it attracts a fine and a sentence of six months, yet some people cannot buy them. You cannot criminalise what people are unable to do. We would like police vehicles to carry masks so that when the police find that you have no mask, instead of arresting you, they give you a mask. This will make the police a service and not a force. Therefore, as we support the formation of this Fund, we want to see the chairperson… I agree with Hon. Junet that let the East African Breweries Limited (EABL) start by announcing their donation. Since the chairperson in that Committee of the Fund is by the virtue of the organizations she represents, she should lead by example by announcing a couple of billions as a contribution to this Fund and then the rest of us can follow suit.
