"content": "(iii) Wednesday, 6th May 2020 starting at 10.00 a.m.; and, (c) resumes its sittings during the Second Part of the Session on Tuesday, 2nd June 2020 at 2.30 p.m. as per the Calendar. Hon. Speaker, before I go further and following what Hon. Junet has raised, the sitting and timing of this august House are in the Standing Orders. Unless we amend the Standing Orders, we cannot go by what the CS for Interior and Coordination of National Government has published as regulations on the curfew. I am sure that the Vice-Chair of the Committee on Delegated Legislation is here. The essence of the Committee on Delegated Legislation is to look at the legality of statutory instruments. I hope the Hon. Senior Counsel is listening. Standing Order No.30(2) talks about the timing of the sitting of the House. It says that the House sits every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday in the afternoon from 2.30 p.m. to 7.00 p.m. and on Wednesday morning from 9.30 a.m. to 1 p.m. That is in the Standing Order. As long as I am in the Chamber, my business ends at 7 p.m. So, the curfew does not apply to a Member of Parliament on a parliamentary sitting day. That is exactly what it means."
