    "content": "Hon. Leader of the Majority Party, let me just finish. When I talk of clue, we asked him questions pertaining to the working of TSC and the Act,but he had no knowledge. Lastly, the Committee made a recommendation that having concluded the approval hearings for the nominees pursuant to Article 252 of the Constitution and Section 3 and 8 of the Public Appointments (Parliamentary Approvals) Act, No. 33 of 2011, the Committee recommends that this House rejects the nomination of Mr. Mbage Ng’ang’a for appointment as a member of TSC and two, rejects the nomination of Ms. Leila Abdi Ali for appointment as a member of TSC. Hon. Speaker, as you have indicated and because of time, the Committee actually did its work very well. We went and sieved through a lot of issues that were brought before the Committee. In fact, for Mr. Mbage, whose age is about 67, when we looked at the nominal age of the commissioners, they are actually averaging 64 and yet, the teaching service is on an average of between 40 and 35 years. Those individuals may not actually listen to the teachers in the field. If we nominate them as commissioners, they may not work well and so, we are rejecting them.
