Chairman, I beg to move: THAT, the Schedule be amended- (b) in the proposed amendments to the Value Added Tax Act, 2013 by - (iii) deleting the proposed amendments to paragraphs 104 and 107 of Part I of Section A of the First Schedule. (q) paragraph 104 (r) paragraph 107 This is actually taxation on motor vehicles for public officers who are returning from Kenyan missions abroad. We are still saying that vehicles of public officers returning from Kenya missions abroad should not be taxed. We are saying that when such officers come back to the country they should be allowed to be in the same position as they were while they were abroad."
