"content": "In Kenya, we are giving out one mask a day while Senegal and some countries like South Africa and Ghana are paying rent for their citizens in the major towns. At least in Kenya, we should be able to make a social response, an intervention on behalf of the people of Kenya. Otherwise, saying that we have allocated Kshs40 billion and there is nothing to show for it on the ground, I think that the country is not going to believe what is happening. It is high time that we lived to the country’s expectations. I am delighted to note that, for the first time, our amendments have been approved by the other House. Next time, since they think that they are the ones who originate Money Bills, when they give money to national or county governments, the oversight measures should always be in place. I think that we should have a special Motion to have the Government to explain why they have not appointed an Auditor-General just like Sen. Wetangula has just said. There is a lot to be said, but I again congratulate Sen. Khaniri for coming up with this Statement."
