I rise, pursuant to Standing Order No.48 (1), to seek a Statement from the Chairperson of the Senate Ad hoc Committee on COVID-19, the distinguished Senator for Nairobi, Sen. Johnstone Sakaja, concerning the sacking of Dr. Joel Lutomia as the Director, Centre for Virus Research (CVR) at the Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI), and the general operations of KEMRI during the COVID-19 pandemic.
