    "content": "Thank you, Mr. Speaker, Sir. I rise pursuant to Standing Order No.41 to seek a Statement from the Standing Committee on Justice, Legal Affairs and Human Rights regarding the delay in appointment of 41 judges for the High Court and the Court of Appeal. In the Statement, the Committee should- (i) Explain the reasons for the delay in gazettement of the 41 judges; (ii) Explain the continued failure to effect the recommendations of the Judicial Service Commission (JSC) thus occasioning violations of fundamental rights of persons designated as judges of the Court of Appeal; (iii) Explain the continued failure by the Executive to obey court orders under a judgment delivered on 6th February, 2020; hence jeopardizing the administration on justice; and, (iv) State when the gazettement of the said judges is to be done in order to beat the backlog experienced in courts."
