    "content": " Hon. Deputy Speaker, I wish to make a Statement regarding the death of Peter Gachago Gacheru. The Member of Parliament for Dagoretti South Constituency, Hon. John Waweru, requested for a Statement regarding the death of Peter Gachago Gacheru from Kawangware. He particularly sought to be informed on the following: a. The actual cause of death of Mr. Peter Gachago Gacheru and whether the death was as a result of use of excessive force by police officers. b. Whether there is any on-going probe into the death. c. The steps the Government has taken to identify the killers. d. The steps the Government has taken to ensure the family of the deceased is compensated, noting that the deceased was the family’s breadwinner. e. Measures that the Government has put in place to ensure that lives are not lost through brutality as a result of excessive use of force by security officers.
