What followed between the Chairman of the Committee, Inspector-General of Police and IPOA was a ping pong game. I hope that this time round, the Chairman will give us proper timelines in terms of investigations. The IG hides under the phrase “the issue is under investigation”. It took a lot of ping pong for the involved officer to be apprehended and interdicted. Let us not hide under “investigations” this time and give a way forward on the timeline it will take for action to be taken against the said officers."
