The Statement is on the preparations for public hearings for the Budget Estimates for Financial Year 2020/2021, that were to be held in 11 or 12 counties by the Budget and Appropriations Committee. Hon. Speaker, as you are aware, the Estimates of Revenue and Expenditure for Financial year 2020/2021 and the Medium-Term were laid in this august House on 29th April 2020 and stood committed to the Budget and Appropriations Committee and the various Departmental Committees for them to review with a view to make recommendations to this House as per the provisions of our Standing Orders. Article 221 (5) of the Constitution provides that during the discussion and review of the Estimates, the Budget and Appropriations Committee…"
