"content": "(Sen. (Prof.) Kindiki): Is there a reason your mask is not on, Sen. Kang’ata? Hon. Senators, remember when Sen. Linturi brought up this issue, I said as much as possible. Let me explain myself so that we are not prisoners of our own rules. There have been cases - and that is why I asked Sen. Kang’ata whether there is a reason - where some users of masks are saying that after a while, they run short of breath. Trying to catch breath is a medical issue and we do not want casualties here. Secondly, in the rules, we have allowed, unless they change later, that we can take water. You cannot take water when your mask is on. I heard that in some corner of Kenya, there were policemen who were arresting women, who were eating, for not wearing a mask. How do you eat with your mask on?"
