    "content": "Thank you, Madam Temporary Speaker. I rise, pursuant to Standing Order No.48 (1) to seek a Statement from the Standing Committee on National Security, Defense and Foreign Relations Regarding the recent torture and extra-judicial killing of a resident of Isiolo County by the name Musa Somo Kanchora by the Kenya Wildlife Services (KWS) officers. In the Statement, the Committee should explain - (1) The circumstances that lead to the torture and fatal shooting of Mr. Musa Somo Kanchora, a resident of Isiolo County, during and encounter with over 20 KWS officers from Meru County on the morning of 12thMay, 2020 at a barrier in Gatucha area in Kinna Ward, Isiolo County, 35 kilometers from the protected area of Meru National Park and Bisanadi Game Reserve. (2) Urgently investigate and establish the identity of the KWS officers who were present at the scene at the time of the incident, and state what disciplinary action will be taken against them.
