This is because the majority of these small business enterprises are normally run by young people. I know quite a number of people have closed down their businesses because they do not have sufficient capital. There are many sectors that depend on daily earnings, including the matatu sector. Madam Temporary Speaker, as we continue with the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic in the country, we must agree that there are legislative and policy interventions that need to come into force to ensure that we cushion our people.
