    "content": "Interpretations of the Constitution from the Supreme Court are an important cog in the implementation and enforcement of the Constitution and that the drafters of the Constitution gave the Supreme Court this important role by including the Supreme Court’s jurisdiction to render advisory opinion in line with Article 163(6) of the Constitution. Therefore, the decision of the Supreme Court and its pronouncement is binding not only on the Senate, but also on the National Assembly. Finally, Madam Temporary Speaker and hon. Senators, we must never cease to defend our role as a House of Parliament and protect county governments. The challenges continue. We have other legal proceedings in which this House seeks to defend its constitutional mandate. I call upon all of us to keep up the fight. Appear in court when called upon. For my learned colleagues in the legal profession, please continue representing the Senate in the ongoing proceedings on pro bono basis when called upon. Ultimately, we shall prevail."
