    "content": "Thank you, Madam Temporary Speaker, for giving me an opportunity. I rise pursuant to Standing Order No. 48(1) to seek a Statement from the Standing Committee on Education concerning the learning progression of learners with disabilities during the current COVID-19 pandemic. In the Statement, the Committee should - (1) State and explain measures put in place to ensure that the needs of learners with neuro-developmental challenges are met. (2) Explain mechanisms put in place to ensure that deaf learners are achieving parity with other learners. (3) Elucidate processes put in place to ensure that parents of learners with disabilities are able to help and manage their children’s educational needs while at home.
