I rise pursuant to Standing Order No.48(1) to seek a Statement from the Standing Committee on Education regarding the status of education in Kenya following the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic that has led to closure of schools and other institutions of learning. In the Statement, the Committee should - (1) Explain whether all the learners are equally accessing online educational materials, bearing in mind the fact that not every parent or guardian uses digital mobile gadgets or has access to the internet.
