Senators, a cardinal principle of our Constitution and legal system is that a person against whom assertions have been made, shall be given an opportunity to defend himself or herself, to rebut allegations against him or her. In the context of such Motions as the one about to be debated, the Deputy Speaker, Sen.(Prof.) Kithure Kindiki, M.P., will be given a chance at the end of the debate to accordingly make his contribution to the Motion, if he so wishes."
