    "content": "Clause 9(4) states that:- “An assisted reproduction health care provider shall before commencing the provision of assisted reproduction treatment — (a) provide all concerned parties with the information necessary to enable them make an informed choice and give informed consent, and in particular, information on- (i) the various assisted reproduction methods available; (ii) the chances of success of the various options; (iii) the advantages, disadvantages and the risk of the various options; and, (iv) the cost of treatment and the facilities where the treatment options are available” Madam Temporary Speaker, in order to safeguard the parties who wish to undertake assisted reproduction, Clause 14 provides for surrogate parenthood agreement. The clause provides that the agreement must be in writing and include adequate provisions on the contact, care, upbringing and general welfare of the child that is to be born. The child’s position in the event of death- (i)death of the commissioning parents, or if married, the death of one or both of the commissioning parents before the birth of the child; or (ii)separation or divorce of commissioning parents who were married before the birth of the child."
