    "content": "Mr. Temporary Speaker, Sir, if I may proceed to the second Statement. I rise pursuant to Standing Order 48 (1) to seek a Statement from the Standing Committee on National Security, Defence and Foreign Relations regarding the smuggling of marijuana from Ethiopia that is subsequently transported throughout the country, particularly in Isiolo County. In the Statement, the Committee should - (1) Ascertain the magnitude of the problem of smuggling of marijuana across the border from Ethiopia to Kenya. (2) Explain how the drug is finding its way into the country, particularly in Isiolo County, with numerous police roadblocks along the main highway. Recently, it actually found its way to Murang’a. That is where they were arrested. (3) Recommend measures to urgently address the problem to rescue our youth. I thank you.
