    "content": "Thank you, Madam Temporary Speaker for giving me this opportunity to support this Statement. Border conflicts have always occurred many times since time immemorial. However, this conflict in Kakamega-Nandi needs to be investigated so that we know the root cause of it. This is because people are supposed to live harmoniously. I want to condemn police brutality because they have a role to play in this country of ensuring our people are secure. They should protect people and their property. It is also their responsibility to enforce law and order. However, enforcing law and order does not necessarily mean that they become brutal and trigger-happy. There is a way they can ensure that there is peace among people living along the border. I do not think the police are the right people to resolve border conflicts. We should rethink how the border conflicts can be resolved so that it does not become generational trauma to people."
