            "content": "Pursuant to the provisions of Standing Order 44(2)(A), I rise to give the following Statement on behalf of the House Business Committee that met on Tuesday, 8th April 2025, to prioritise business for the coming week. Hon. Speaker, with regard to Business scheduled for Tuesday next week, the House is expected to consider the following Bills at various stages, some of which are listed in today’s Order Paper - the Second Reading of the following Bills - should they not be concluded today: 1. The Value Added Tax (Amendment) Bill, 2025. 2. The Learners with Disabilities Bill (Senate Bill No.4 of 2023). 3. The Treaty Making and Ratification (Amendment) (No.2) Bill, 2024. 4. The Kenya National Council for Population and Development Bill, 2023. 5. The National Cohesion and Integration Bill, 2023.             "content": "In addition, the House will prioritise consideration of the Motion on the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement between the Republic of Kenya and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and Special Motions on consideration of nominees for appointments to public or state offices. Further, in accordance with the provisions of Standing Order 42A (5) and (6), I wish to convey that the following Cabinet Secretaries are scheduled to appear before the House on the afternoon of Wednesday, 16th April 2025, to respond to Questions as follows: 1. The Cabinet Secretary for National Treasury and Economic Planning will appear to provide an update on the status of disbursement of funds under the National Government Constituencies Development Funds (NG-CDF) for the Financial Year 2024/2025 raised in the House during the Sitting of Tuesday, 8th April 2025 by the Member for Bumula, Hon. Jack Wamboka. In addition, the Cabinet Secretary for National Treasury and Economic Planning is also scheduled to respond to the following Questions: (a) Question 008/2025 by the Member for Wundanyi, Hon. Danson Mwashako, regarding delays in processing payments for retirees in the country by the Pensions Department; and (b) Question 009/2025 by the Member for Emuhaya, Hon. Omboko Milemba, regarding details on the medical capitation funds meant for teachers’ medical scheme in the country. 2. The Cabinet Secretary for Health will respond to the following Questions: (a) Question 17/2025 by the Member for Yatta, Hon. Robert Basil, regarding reasons why Kenyans are required to register for the Social Health Insurance Fund (SHIF) despite formerly contributing to the National Health Insurance Fund (NHIF). (b) Question 47/2025 by the Member for Malindi, Hon. Amina Mnyazi, regarding measures undertaken by the Government to address the impact of the withdrawal of United States Agency for International Development (USAID) funding in the Country. (c) Question 48/2025 by the Member for Endebess, Hon. (Dr) Robert Pukose, regarding the provision of a detailed report of tender No. GF/ATM/HIV/NFM-2023/2024-OIT-5 on supply of Sure lubricated dotted condoms manufactured by M/s. Indus Medicare Private Limited awarded to M/s. Reddy’s Pharma."

Gitonga Mukunji, regarding non-operationalisation of the Rehabilitation Fund, as established under Section 53 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (Control) Act (Cap.245).             "content": " Very broad, Hon. Speaker. I know it is the Sure Condoms. At one point, Homa Bay was one of the counties that had very low usage of condoms, but following a lot of civic education, which the Member for Homa Bay was a keen participant, the use of condoms in Homa Bay County has become prevalent. This has reduced the infectious Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STDs), including HIV and AIDS, in Homa Bay County."
