  • 19 Jun 2014 in National Assembly: PIC is saying that the Cabinet Secretary in charge of that project should make sure that the legal framework is in place so that the Kenyan people can get value for their money. As Members of the Committee, we are really supporting the project. The railway system that we have today, which is connecting Kenya to Uganda, is 100 years old. So, the new project will change the lives of Kenyans. With those remarks, I beg to support. view
  • 25 Feb 2014 in National Assembly: Thank you, hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker. I also stand to support this Motion simply because it is gender balanced. The other thing is that those two candidates have worked perfectly in their previous positions and I am sure that, when they join PSC, they are going to bring a lot of experience. PSC is going to be effective in delivering services. view

  • 5 Nov 2013 in National Assembly: Thank you hon. Speaker, Sir. I stand to support the Motion on this report. I know my colleagues have talked a lot about it, but I would like to say one thing; the tender was only awarded to the wrong people without the capacity to supply and using fake documents. These are the people who did not have Kenyans at heart. Hon. Speaker, Sir, I would like to quote the Bible. The Bible says if you do not work you should not eat. • 26 Jun 2013 in National Assembly: Thank you, Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir. I stand to support this Motion. It is a very important Motion that has been brought by hon. Gatobu. • 5 Jun 2013 in National Assembly: Thank you hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, for giving me this opportunity to contribute. I rise to support this very important Motion. I thank hon. Gitari for bringing this Motion to the House for debate. Cancer and renal problems are terminal diseases which need early diagnosis. KNH is overwhelmed by the patients who are referred to that institution. Most patients are not able to pay for the treatment and some die before they are treated. Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, chemotherapy and dialysis are quite expensive and we need to ask our Government to see to it that we have screening facilities ... view
  • 14 May 2013 in National Assembly: Thank you, hon. Deputy Speaker, I stand to support the report. I would like to say that the committee did a wonderful job. They worked many hours to give us the best. I think they did it well. I would like to say that Ms. Kandie worked in various Ministries and institutions and did very well. She does not have any integrity issues. She is okay academically; if we give her the opportunity, I know she is going to do well. She will serve this country well. Thank you, hon. Deputy Speaker. view
