The Government should also do something about nurses and doctors. You find that there are many doctors and nurses at one institution and none at others. At some health facilities, even in times ... view
  • 24 Apr 2013 in National Assembly: Hon. Speaker, Sir, maybe because some of us are not doctors, we assume that doctors will just give us medicines (technical hitch). view
  • 24 Apr 2013 in National Assembly: Hon. Speaker, Sir, I was just about to finish. I was saying that sometimes you go to hospital and you are given malaria drugs without the proper tests being done and then we assume that doctors have done something wrong. I apologize if I have offended doctors. I support the Motion. view
  • 18 Apr 2013 in National Assembly: (Hon. (Ms.) Kedogo): Hon. Speaker, Sir, I had just started and introduced myself as hon. Dorcas Kedogo, Women Representative for Vihiga County. I was contributing on the President’s Speech with regard to laptops. Some measures have to be put in place, especially in terms of training the teachers. In case of emergencies in our dispensaries, we have no equipment to perform cesarean section operations or any other emergency cases. This means that the mothers are taken to other hospitals and are charged for transport, which they cannot afford. view
