  • 8 May 2018 in Senate: Mr. Speaker, Sir, I thank you for giving me an opportunity to contribute to this Motion. I also wish to welcome you and other Senators for this Session. One of the things that spoke to my heart is the President’s apology. That was humbling. His statement was healing and unifying. Our President has made history again. First, he accepted a court verdict that nullified his election. He made history. He is the first sitting President whose election was nullified and he accepted. That is also humbling. • 29 Mar 2018 in Senate: Mr. Speaker, Sir, in my Statement, I had requested for a table indicating the number of teachers transferred from schools in Wajir county since 2015 which has been provided. However, I have just gone through the report and they have not indicated the teacher to student ratio. view

  • 21 Mar 2018 in Senate: No. I am just translating. I had asked, in the statement, the number of the people who died in early February after the subsequent visit by the CS. In that meeting, it emerged that 57 people died in the northern region of Eldas. However, this statement only states 17. On 5th January, 2018, there are five people who died. I can read their names if you allow me. view

  • 21 Mar 2018 in Senate: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I partly appreciate all the work they have done, but there are some parts that I am not happy with. The electronic version of the Senate Hansard Report is for information purposes only. A certified version of this Report can be obtained from the Hansard Editor, Senate. view
  • 21 Mar 2018 in Senate: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, first of all, why are they taking long to finalise an investigation that has been pending since early 2016? view
