  • 9 Jun 2022 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Speaker, for giving me this opportunity, so that I can also make a comment on the day we are going away from this Parliament. First and foremost, I thank you so much for the guidance you have given this House. Your wealth of experience has really given us a wide experience on how matters of Parliament are carried out. Secondly, I thank the people of Nyamira. They gave me a chance to come in. They voted me in overwhelmingly. They have walked with me throughout the five years I have been in Parliament. It is the favour ... view

  • 8 Jul 2021 in National Assembly: Hon. Speaker, I beg to give notice of the following Motion: THAT, this House adopts the Report of the Select Committee on Parliamentary Broadcasting and Library on its consideration on the advances made by the Parliamentary Service Commission (PSC) in the setting up of the virtual meeting platforms for committees and the Plenary laid on the Table of the House on Thursday, 8th July 2021. view
  • 24 Jun 2021 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Chairman for giving me this opportunity. I also want to support this amendment. Old age, as we have said, is the time people are supposed to be taken care of like children because they have lived all the energy which they had. They are like children who are growing with no energy. We want to commend the Committee for the good work. I know the country is going to commend us for this. I support. view
  • 11 May 2021 in National Assembly: Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, thank you for giving me this opportunity to second the Report on the formulation of PBU. The work that we do as parliamentarians needs to be known out there. Of course we have the Bunge Signet and Senate Signet which give information to our people on what we do in this honourable House, but the time we are allocated by KBC is so limited that our people are not able to follow all that we do, specifically what we do in Committees. Most of the work that we do is at the Committee level. That is ... view
  • 6 May 2021 in National Assembly: I, Jerusha Momanyi, Member of Parliament for Nyamira, representing the people of Nyamira, I vote yes. view
  • 23 Mar 2021 in National Assembly: Thank you Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker for granting me this opportunity so that I can also eulogise the death of a statesman, Hon. Samuel Motari Mang’are, who was a Member of Parliament for Kitutu East Constituency. At that time, I was in primary school but we heard the great things that Hon. Mang’are was doing. He is a neighbour at home, in Nyamira County. I know the people of Nyamira are hurting because of the death of Hon. Mang’are. view
  • 23 Mar 2021 in National Assembly: I take this opportunity to send my heartfelt condolences to the family and the neighbours from home and wish them well as they mourn their loved one. This is a man who loved God and he is among the people who inspired many to take up Christianity in our local community. We urge everybody to emulate the way Hon. Mang’are lived. May his soul rest in eternal peace. view
  • 5 Nov 2020 in National Assembly: Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, thank you for giving me this opportunity so that I also contribute to this Motion. I want to thank and congratulate my friend, Hon. Wamaua, for bringing forth this Motion. The document we are talking about is very small, but very important in the lives of all Kenyans. This is because there are no services a person can be given if they do not have a birth certificate. If one wants to get an identity card, one is asked to produce a birth certificate. If one wants to enroll in the pre-primary school, the document which ... view
  • 29 Sep 2020 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker for giving me this opportunity so that I can also contribute to this Report. First of all, I thank the Chair, Hon. Kenta, and the Vice-Chair, Hon. Osotsi, for giving us a very comprehensive Report which gives the House the impetus to continue doing the work that it does. This House is the most honoured institution in the country. It mostly influences what takes place in our country, which comes through the legislation that we pass. If what we do is not implemented, the work of the House cannot be respected. This House has ... view
