  • 11 Mar 2014 in Senate: On a point of information, Mr. Temporary Speaker, Sir. It is unfortunate but we must all take charge. If there were 16 passengers and yet they were supposed to be 14, why were they expecting the police to take care of them? view

  • 1 Oct 2013 in Senate: Asante sana, Bw. Spika wa Muda. Nanafikiri kila eneo la watu kuna msemo wao. Huko pwani tunasema kwamba, “penye wazee hapaharibiki jambo”. Kwanza, ningependa kumpongeza Sen. Ukiangalia kule mashinani, polisi mmoja hawezi kumchunga raia mmoja. Kwa hivyo, hatuna polisi wa kutosha ... view
  • 24 Sep 2013 in Senate: Madam Temporary Speaker, thank you for giving me this chance. The flag represents a living organ and a living country. It is also called a living thing. In this country, we normally regard the flag as a living thing. You have seen the number of lives which have been lost. These are Kenyans who were innocent just doing their daily duties. Our flag still stands high. I do not know if I am the only one making that observation. Kindly, can we also mourn the way the other countries are mourning with us? Could we fly our flags at half ... view
  • 31 Jul 2013 in Senate: Madam Temporary Speaker, I want to congratulate Sen. Nobwola. I am a medical person also and I wish to appreciate the work the doctors and nurses are doing. We cannot say that they are not qualified because they are highly qualified. From my experience, you will find that when you are treating somebody, for example, if a woman is pregnant, you are also treating the husband and the family at large. So, it is not an easy profession whereby you are also supposed to consider the relatives and other patients next to that bed. You will find that sometimes you ... view
  • 31 Jul 2013 in Senate: We also need to appreciate the work the doctors and nurses are doing. We tend to forget that they are also human beings. They are oppressed because they have a lot of work to do and they are mistreated the same way we used to mistreat the police fraternity. When you see a nurse, then you are there at war with them where you consider that they will not do this or that or they will not deliver. So, we have a negative attitude. We also need the community at large to appreciate the work done by nurses and they ... view
