(b) Is the Minister further aware that three people were killed by gun-totting raiders at Rugus and Kiserian in Mukutani Division on 25th and 28th March, 2007, respectively? • 12 Apr 2007 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I am wondering if in the course of this afternoon, since this is a Question by Private Notice, the Minister walks into the House he will be allowed to answer it! view

  • 10 Apr 2007 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, last week, I asked a Question regarding so many deaths caused by bad roads. Today, we have been told that there are too many bumps. Is it not shameful to stop people from moving smoothly because of carelessness which the Government cannot control? We put things on the roads to stop people and international visitors so that we can move slowly. Is this not a country after 40 years of Independence where so many people are educated? The Government has failed to control traffic! They can only control people through bumps. Have they failed to control ... view
  • 10 Apr 2007 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, the Assistant Minister is not specific. Could we know how many goats and sheep have been branded? They are also animals. view
  • 4 Apr 2007 in National Assembly: On a point of order, Mr. Speaker, Sir. Do I take it that the Government cannot answer my question? Do I take it also that the Minister has failed and call Mr. Michuki to come and answer it? view
  • 28 Mar 2007 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, the answer by the Minister was good, but I would like to inform him that farmers have been discouraged because they have been travelling for long distances looking for money. During the last Session, I asked him a Question and told him that there was no National Cereals and Produce Board (NCPB) depot in Baringo North where we can sell our maize. People travel long distances looking for money which they do not get. I do not know whether this money is only localised to particular areas, which we know are always favoured. view
  • 22 Mar 2007 in National Assembly: On a point of order, Mr. Speaker, Sir. First, I thank you, Mr. Speaker, Sir. I rise on a point of order to request a Ministerial Statement from the Minister for Transport. Of late, we have had innocent wananchi losing their lives on our roads, but we have not heard any Cabinet Minister apologise for those deaths. Could we be told why deaths have increased on our roads? Is it because of unroadworthy vehicles or bad roads? Is it because of reckless driving? I would like to know what the Minister has to say about this development. Of late, even ... view
  • 5 Dec 2006 in National Assembly: asked the Minister for Agriculture:- (a) whether he is aware that there are no National Cereals and Produce Board (NCPB) buying stations in the entire Baringo North Constituency; and, (b) what he is doing to encourage farmers in the area to sell maize and other cereals to NCPB. view
  • 5 Dec 2006 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, I am not satisfied with the answer given by the Assistant Minister. He has talked about adequacy. The distance from Kabarnet to the extreme north of my constituency is over 100 kilometres. What adequacy is he talking about? If distance is not important, we can as well be served from Nairobi. He has talked of depots and money, and about maize not being produced in North Baringo. How much maize is produced in Kabarnet? The place is rocky! The NCPB has built a lot of stores in a rocky place. North Baringo is more fertile. We have ... view
