Speaker, pursuant to Standing Order No.44(2)(c), I would like to request for a Statement from the Chairperson of the Departmental Committee on Agriculture, Livestock and Co-operatives regarding the ownership of the Kenya Seed Company. The Chairperson should inquire into and report on the following:- (i) the ownership of Kenya Seed Company and clarify whether it is a parastatal or a private company; (ii) the percentage of shareholding by the Government or the respective private individuals; and (iii) the criteria used in the recent appointment of the Board of Directors to the company."
