For that reason; for the simple fact that is so obvious and bears for anybody who cares to listen, that the County Assembly of Nairobi City County never achieved the threshold of impeaching Hon. Governor Mike Sonko. I oppose this Motion.

Mr. Speaker, Sir, if it is about failure of duties, honestly, between the national Government and the Nairobi City County Government, which one needs the services of NMS? It is the national Government.

Mr. Speaker, Sir, it will be grossly unfair if we get to a point where Members cannot be allowed to raise point of orders. We are allowed by our Standing Orders to rise and raise any procedural mater that we are dissatisfied with when we are conducting our business. It is within your jurisdiction as our Speaker to say whether that matter is with merit or without. I just want to seek a simple clarification from you. I agree with your ruling. Mr. Speaker, Sir, to help us, this is a simple and straightforward matter. To help us make way out of the dispute between the Assembly and the governor, the counsel of the governor should refer to all the documents presented to us as numbered. Mr. Speaker, Sir, the first on is what Sen. M. Kajwang’ has raised. At a particular time, it is actually the person who logged in that is voting. This is because we are ...

Mr. Speaker, Sir, therefore, without having a more secure system other than the Zoom platform, I would really wish to plead with you that perhaps you reconsider some of these decisions and make it that it shall not be at the free whims of Members to either choose to participate here or on an online platform. There must be unique circumstances that demand the same. Thank you.

Thank you, Mr. Speaker, Sir. I want to appreciate your Communication. This is a very important Message to the tea farmers of this country because their day of freedom is nearing. Mr. Speaker, Sir, I have seen Sen. Njeru Ndwiga, the Chairperson of the Committee on Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries has logged in. As proposed by Sen. Kang’ata, it is possible for them to meet and within seven days iron out any issue that may arise out of the amendments by the National Assembly. Mr. Speaker, Sir, the National Assembly did a lot of work and public participation on this ...
