They are very expensive at the moment because everybody tops up with VAT. I remember there are issues even in agriculture. There is an introduction of VAT on some chemicals for the farms. We must consider this thing so that we allow parents who cannot even afford school fees to have their kids access textbooks. Give us direction because we are setting a very bad tradition. I remember in the 11th Parliament, petitions used to come addressed directly to the National Assembly and not to a specific Departmental Committee. It is because, in most cases, the prayers of every petitioner can be on many issues which can be varied. view
