That was addressed in the Elections Act where it says “the same requirements as a ward assembly person”. So, unless hon. Gumbo wants to say 2,000, but that would be ultra vires because it would be more than what is required by the parent Act. view

• 11 Oct 2012 in National Assembly: Madam Temporary Deputy Chairlady, I beg to move:- THAT, the proposed regulation 32 be amended- (a) in paragraph (a) by deleting the words “two hundred and fifty thousand” and substituting therefor the words “twenty five thousand” (b) in paragraph (b) by deleting the words “five hundred thousand” and substituting therefor the words “fifty thousand.” This is putting the nomination fees for Governors at Kshs50,000 and for the disabled and for the youth at Kshs25,000. view
