I am stating, in no uncertain terms that, yes, in some cases, money was well spent. But in very many cases, the money was not well spent. So, do you want me to say that money was spent well when it was not? view

I agree that several Ministries are relevant in terms of trees. There is the Ministry of Environment and Mineral Resources and the Ministry of Forestry and Wildlife. So, our own audit is there. We have actually done a lot of auditing of that project. It is not a case where we are saying that a teacher, principal or headmaster stole the funds. People spent the money correctly in as far as tree nurseries were concerned. But whether that translated into planting of trees – because it is the community which is actually involved in planting trees – that is different. view

This is exclusive of uniforms and computer charges. However, due to escalating prices of various commodities, the Ministry of Education is in the process of reviewing the fees upwards. The Government does not award any grant to students to supplement the fees charged. If, for example, a student is admitted this year and is unable to raise fees all together, then that student should notify the college and his place is kept for the coming year.
