The issue of livestock farming in the ASAL areas and the issue of cattle loss is one of great concerns to this country. This should be an industry that is developed to capacity where we are able to draw significant revenue from export. It can create an industry where we may even not need insurance since we can have the necessary investments such as abattoirs within these areas.
