  • 16 May 2007 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, the Minister says that his Ministry has no money for compensation, yet, whenever a person kills a wild animal, the KWS is compensated by imprisoning that person for seven years. Some of the people I have mentioned here have been permanently maimed and, therefore, they will not assist their children in the future. When Mr. Raila was the Minister for Roads and Public Works, he gave an affirmative answer. Mr. Nyachae, through his Assistant Minister, Eng. Toro, has also given an affirmative answer. But there seems to be a problematic individual whom nobody knows! That person is called the Attorney-General, who brings Bills to this House. Kenya is a country which is very determined to educate her boys and girls. This Motion emphasizes the need to come up with ways of improving the girl-child education in this country.   • 25 Apr 2007 in National Assembly: Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, all children whose parents are physically or mentally disabled should have access to free education immediately. Likewise, children whose parents are infected with HIV/AIDS should also have access to free education. I must emphasize that we should offer this free education immediately as a matter of policy. A law should be put in place to ensure that those children whose parents are physically or mentally disabled and those that suffer from the HIV/AIDS pandemic, access free education.
