  • 9 Feb 2022 in National Assembly: Hon. Deputy Speaker, there is nothing out of order. This matter affects Kenyans, and mostly Kenyans from northern Kenya. It is something very dear to us. We may not be saying anything much, but the Statement he sought is quite in order. It is the responsibility of the Government to bring to book culprits involved in extra-judicial killings. As has been said, we have in place an elaborate security system full of professionals. Who are these people abducting and killing Kenyans? We ask the Government to ensure that the image of the security forces is not tainted by ensuring that ... view

  • 5 Jan 2022 in National Assembly: Hon. Temporary Deputy Chairlady, thank you very much. Hon. Duale is out of order by saying that in my community, which is 100 per cent Muslim, women respect men. Our women in Islam have rights as well and the rights of women in Islam is the highest. So, please, let him not insinuate that the Muslim women are subservient to men. That is unacceptable. view

These four positions are as a result of the expiry of tenure of other directors who have quit. I am sure there could be a number of authorities or commissions that have people quitting at the same time. I will still urge the Government to ensure that for those who leave, other Kenyans should be absorbed in the ... view

  • 10 Nov 2021 in National Assembly: Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Hon. Duale is not in order to castigate a legitimate business. We are not discussing Safaricom or Airtel. Trying to victimise a legitimate business without discussing it within the context of a substantive Bill here is not fair. Members can discuss if there is a Bill in the offing, but using the opportunity to castigate a legitimate business in bad light is improper. view
  • 9 Nov 2021 in National Assembly: Hon. Speaker, first and foremost, I want to thank you for your sober guidance on the fact that you excluded the aspect of Hajj on that Bill, because it deviated from the main aspect of the entire Bill. It is also shocking that a Member of the Committee is confirming that he is even shocked to learn how it even came to the Committee Report. That tells you that it is important. I also thank the Majority Whip for turning it down so that we can build consensus. This morning, we had a caucus with Hon. Abdullswamad and others, where ... view
