26 Oct 2022 in National Assembly:
Hon. Speaker, let me start by thanking you for giving me this opportunity. I also thank God for this day when we congratulate our great people who we have known in different capacities. Hon. Duale, you are a mentor to some of us. You encouraged us and you have fought for us women. I cannot forget a recent issue. When we went through nominations of United Democratic Alliance (UDA), all Members of Parliament for Gilgil, Naivasha and Njoro won, but we had a lot of challenges with the men we had defeated. Hon. Cognisant that Egerton University is the only public University in Nakuru County, the institution provides a livelihood for the residents of Njoro Constituency and the entire Nakuru County. Hence, the closure of the university is detrimental to the students due to interrupted learning, the staff, and the entire Njoro Constituency.

Thank you very much, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, for giving me the opportunity to contribute to the State of the Nation Address by the President. When I followed the Address by the President yesterday, I had a lot of concerns. First of all, I want to appreciate the road network in the country. I can also say that I have lobbied and some roads have successfully been completed in my constituency but, I can still mention roads that funds have not been allocated to. In addition, I still have a lot of concern when it comes to security matters. As ...

Also, through the Address of the President, we appreciate what he talked about COVID - 19 but we still have many loopholes. Kenyans have been hit hard. We have had a lot of losses in businesses and other problems. What I was expecting to hear from the entire Address was if the Government could provide free tests for COVID -19 so that we can know the status of the people and guide the country so that necessary action can be taken.
