  • 9 Jun 2015 in National Assembly: Secondly, we are aware of the issue of corruption on our highways. We have the weighbridges at Athi River and Mariakani. Police officers are posted there and, within a month, they become millionaires at the expense of Kenyans. Therefore, issues of road carnage and corruption will no longer be there. I believe that the railway line will bring numerous benefits to the people living along it. Those people are getting compensated for the land that is being taken away from them for the purpose of constructing the railway line. Even towns will sprout out along the railway line. • 30 Apr 2015 in National Assembly: Thank you, hon. Speaker. I am just seeking a clarification from you on the matter that has been raised by Hon. Mutava Musyimi regarding the audit of the Constitution. As we are all aware, money was voted for by this Parliament and given to that Committee to undertake a socio-economic audit of the Constitution. I have heard Hon. Will the Committee receive the report and make it ... view
  • 30 Apr 2015 in National Assembly: Thank you, hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker. I requested for the intervention at the point when hon. Junet was trying to argue with you, as the Chair. You rightfully told him to either withdraw or you would punish him. view

Could he clarify whether those two companies are registered in Kenya, so that we can further the debate from that premise? view
  • 30 Apr 2015 in National Assembly: Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, with a lot of respect, if you could give chance to the Chair to clarify that bit, so that I can make a very informed contribution to this debate. view
  • 28 Apr 2015 in National Assembly: Hon. Temporary Deputy Chairman, I support the proposal of the Departmental Committee. Where we have professional bodies, their fees and remunerations are well captured in their specific bodies. So, I support that proposal. view
  • 28 Apr 2015 in National Assembly: Thank you, hon. Temporary Deputy Chairman. I would wish to differ with the Committee’s position on this matter. view
  • 28 Apr 2015 in National Assembly: Hon. Temporary Deputy Chairman, when you propose five years, does that not mean that you are locking out the youth of this country? Again, when you put a degree as a prerequisite for appointment, there are so many Kenyans who can serve in many positions and do not have a degree. I feel that would lock out deserving Kenyans. This goes against the Constitution of this country because it would be biased against them. view
  • 28 Apr 2015 in National Assembly: Thank you, hon. Temporary Deputy Chairman. view
  • 23 Apr 2015 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Speaker, for giving me this chance to seek your clarification on one or two matters. I have had a chance and occasion to sit in this Chamber--- view
