  • 29 Jun 2023 in Senate: Finally, let me give a short story so that we can learn from it. When I was the Chairperson of JLAC, we visited a place in Kwale and had a meeting at the Kwale Social Hall. It will involve diplomacy and many agencies. So, be ready. I know that you are a prayerful woman. Please, pray for other Members so that they can have the courage, zeal and passion of ensuring that justice is done for our fellow Kenyans. view

  • 27 Jun 2023 in Senate: Thank you, Mr. Speaker, Sir. I rise, pursuant to Standing Order No.53(1) to seek a Statement from the Standing Committee on Roads, Transportation and Housing on the suspension of the use of ledger accounts by the Kenya Ports Authority (KPA). In the Statement, the Committee should - (1) state reasons for the suspension of payments using ledger accounts by the KPA, indicating whether there are the specific commercial banks currently rendering these services in real-time; (2) clarify whether public participation/stakeholder consultative meetings were conducted before the decision to scrap off the use of ledger accounts; (3) table a report on ... view

  • 27 Jun 2023 in Senate: Sen. Faki is the one who read the earlier Statement. When you look at Standing Order No.105, he read a Statement about harassment of the media. I am trying to put it in English. view
